Editor of student-led publication of exemplary student work at ASAU.
Established in 2009, Building 22 is an annual student-initiated publication showcasing work from Carleton University's Azrieli School of Architecture & Urbanism. Each year the publication samples projects from all program levels to showcase their work and inspire students. Distributed internationally to architectural schools, offices, bookstores, and galleries, the publication features a select number of projects that prove to be critical and captivating explorations into architecture. The Editor's roles included the editorial design, print design, project selection, the raising of funds from sponsors and advertisement, budgeting, sales, and management/training of the next editor.
" A noteworthy feature of this Edition is our dedication to transparency in design, both in clarity and honesty. This initiative can be traced back to Edition 22, where we inaugurated a self-nomination portal for students to extend their creative boundaries beyond course deadlines and submit projects that may not have been considered otherwise. Edition 23 proudly showcases the projects within, using primarily full spreads per project with the careful usage of full bleed imagery to emphasize particularly interesting images. This deliberate approach serves the purpose of celebrating each project visually legibly to display the beautiful work as genuine reflections of students' achievements."
— Editor's Note
This edition can be seen as a reference guide for architectural inspiration, editorial design, creative problem solving, and interdisciplinary positioning.

The selected work demonstrates beautiful imagery and technical proficiency, highlighting designs that are represented in unique ways or have a high degree of resolution, both in drawing and written expression.

This full sized poster wraps around the Publication, protecting the canvas textured embossed binding and holds two of the 23 selected postcards, making every cover showcase different students. This material transparency and layering emphasizes the iterative workflows explored on trace paper at the architecture school. Each Vellum poster is individually stamped and number.
The diagonal hatched poche acts as an interstitial link between studio and practice, highlighting hand-drawn hatching and its relation to the typical architectural CAD drawing conventions. As a relief to these elements, the super graphic ‘23’ is revealed, both in cover, poster, and in a transposed position
